Domaine La Pinsonnerie is located on a hill, 10 kilometres from Montignac and 15 kilometres from Sarlat La Canéda.
Montignac: located on the Vézère river with wonderful canoeing facilities. Above the town centre, you can still see the remains of a medieval castle which was once a refuge for the counts of Périgord. Montignac also has a large Intermarché supermarket and a number of charming restaurants and terraces.
Sarlat La Canéda is the centre of the Périgord Noir, also known as the pearl of the Périgord. Sarlat La Canéda has a wonderful tourist centre, a number of terraces and restaurants and was originally a simple Gallo-Roman settlement which housed a Benedictine monastery in the 9th century. The town developed from a monastery into a thriving town during the Middle Ages. The entire town centre is a monument to this and is now a UNESCO World Heritage Centre.
